Our story
Run by young local surfers
The Paluh was taken over after Covid by a team of young surfers who grew up on this stretch of sand. What started as a quiet warung became the spot where the Batu Bolong crew meets before a session — and where everyone ends up again afterwards.
Nothing fancy: plastic chairs in the sand, a good sound system, honest warung food and drinks that stay cheap. You'll usually find one of us behind the bar with salt still in our hair.
Find us on the beach: we're the 5th warung along the beachfront walking from Nelayan Road.

Cold, cheap and straight to your sun lounger
A short warung menu done properly — cocktails at sunset, ice-cold beer all day, and small plates while you wait for the tide.
Sunset cocktails
Classic mixes and fresh-fruit cocktails, poured from about 5PM while the sky does its thing over the break.
Ice-cold beer
Local bottles and cans, kept properly cold. Post-surf pricing that hasn't changed much since we took over.

Indonesian classics and snacks to share between sets — simple food, cooked to order, nothing overthought.

Batu Bolong is one of the friendliest beginner waves in Bali — a long, soft, forgiving left and right over sand and reef, with a mellow crowd.
Local instructors meet their students right here at The Paluh. Board, rashguard and a briefing on the sand, then straight into the water a few steps away. Afterwards, your table is already waiting.
